Adobe Lightroom Goes free on Android
Adobe Lightroom Goes free on Android - Adobe has just made Lightroom for
Android free, it’s entirely free to use on mobile now. No longer do you
need to subscribe to Creative Cloud to use all of the features. This
comes a few months after the iOS version went completely free.
So now, no matter which platform you
use, you can use Lightroom for free. While the app is free, and you can
do whatever you want with it, if you want to sync files to your desktop
or to Adobe’s cloud, you will need to subscribe to Creative Cloud. Which
starts at just $10/month for Photoshop and Lightroom.
Lightroom is one of many products from
Adobe, but it’s most popular among photographers. Simply for the photo
editing that Lightroom can do. In fact, a number of us here at Android
Headlines use Lightroom to edit the pictures that you see here on the
site
It’s a great app that can take what
appears to be a pretty bad looking picture and make it look amazing. You
can change up the white balance, darken the blacks, remove shadows and
so much more. And the thought of being able to do all of that on your
smartphone is pretty mind-blowing.
Last week, Adobe brought Premiere Clip
to Android, which allows users to edit videos from their smartphone or
tablet. Now while this doesn’t bring all of the features of Adobe’s
Premiere Pro which is available on OS X and Windows, it does bring a
number of tools to mobile
And that’s exactly what Adobe Lightroom
has done here with their Android app. While making it free doesn’t sound
like something Adobe would do, it’s a smart thing for them.
It allows more users to use their
products and then they can bring them into paying for Creative Cloud, in
which they’ll have money coming in each month from that customer.
You can download Adobe Lightroom now from the Google Play Store
and start editing pictures to your hearts content. While there are many
other great photo editing apps out there, like Snapseed, Lightroom will
likely jump to the top of the list. Source: TechnoMeda
